Emergency Food Pantry Network announces upcoming pantries

The Midland County Emergency Pantry Network will be holding three mobile pantries in the coming weeks.

The first pantry will take place on Wednesday October 13 at the United Steel Workers Hall, 3510 James Savage Road in Midland. Pre-registration is required and can be obtained by calling 989-573-4547, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, October 11. Recipients will be given a number and designated time for pickup. Those who are not registered can come to the United Steel Workers Hall at noon. Wednesday and sign up in the parking lot if there is still food available.

The second pantry is scheduled for Thursday, October 21 at Midland Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 5441 N. Jefferson Road in Midland. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with food distribution at 10 a.m. Recipients are asked to stay in their car and maintain social distancing; registration will be in their vehicles and volunteers will place food in the cars.

The third pantry will be held on Tuesday November 2 in the Midland High School parking lot at 1301 Eastlawn Dr. in Midland. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with food distribution at 10 a.m. Recipients are asked to stay in their car and maintain social distancing; registration will be in their vehicles and volunteers will place food in the cars.

No ID or proof of income is required to receive food in one of these portable pantries.


This is an emergency feeding program intended to provide an additional source of food for families and / or people in need. This is a first come, first served program. There will be enough food for 250 households. Customer registration begins before distribution time. Residents of Midland County who have an ongoing or urgent need for food can connect to the regular pantry program by calling 989-486-9393.
