Kyle Parks and Recreation hosts 2021 Founders’ Parade – Corridor News

Staff reports

KYLE, TEXAS – The Town of Kyle invites the community to share in the town’s birthday celebration at the annual Founders Parade on Saturday, October 9 starting at 10 a.m.

Parades through the city center around mid-October have been a custom since Kyle was plated and the first lots were sold in October 1880 – a Kyle tradition for over 140 years.

The parade will start at Gregg-Clarke Park and move along Center Street, ending at Front Street in Town Square. Immediately following the parade, a city’s birthday celebration will take place on Burleson Street and will include birthday cupcakes, music and lots of family fun.

The theme for this year’s parade will be “Keep it Kyle”.

The best places to see the Kyle Founders Parade are on either side of Center Street between Gregg-Clarke Park and Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park. To ensure everyone’s safety, the city asks participants to stay on sidewalks or grassy areas along Center Street and not to run down the street during the parade. For parade coverage, follow the Town of Kyle Facebook Page.
