POWER/Google Women Tech Founders Program 2022 for the Middle East and North Africa

Applications for the POWER/Google Women Tech Founders Program 2022 are now open. The US Department of State, through the POWER (Providing Opportunity for Women’s Economic Advancement) initiative, has partnered with Women Techmakers at Google to host the Women Tech Founders program.
This virtual program will provide women tech entrepreneurs in the Middle East and North Africa with startup training from Google technology and startup experts and help create a network of future tech changemakers in the region.
Finalists for the program will be selected through an open application process from April 4 to April 30, 2022, with the first session of the program taking place on June 7, 2022. The program targets women who have started a technology business in the past last two years. years or are launching a new technology venture with secured seed funding.
Fifty finalists will receive training in technology and business development concepts with the opportunity to gain insights and mentorship from Google experts. Sessions will be tailored to participants’ skills to enable them to leverage technology to grow their businesses. Interspersed between the technical sessions, community building sessions will allow participants to network and collaborate with other female tech leaders in the region, as well as in the United States and with government officials. The candidate must be a woman at the head of a technology startup with:
- A product based on technology;
- At least one seed funding acquired;
- Some level of traction in the market with their product/service;
- Legally registered in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The selected finalists will be invited to participate in training sessions that will take place during the months of June and July. See session dates below:

- Session 2: June 21, 2022 (Finalists only)
- Session 3: July 5, 2022 (Finalists only)
- Session 4: July 19, 2022 (Finalists only)
Applicants should apply through the online application form. Applications will close on April 30, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The finalists will be announced in May 2022.
