Volunteers for ‘Celebrate! West Hartford Festival is needed
WEST HARTFORD, CT – The annual “Celebrate! West Hartford” festival will be back this year, and the city is looking for volunteers to set up, great exhibitors, ticket sales and more.
The festival, which according to the city’s website attracts nearly 40,000 people each year, will take place on June 11 and 12. Officials said they had relied on volunteers since 1987 and nearly 1,000 volunteer hours were needed to keep it running.
“Your involvement is important and it’s a great way to give back to your community,” the registration website says.
Volunteers are needed for the following activities/schedules:
Friday afternoon/evening, Early Saturday morning
- Implement
- Exhibitors welcome
During festival hours, Saturday and Sunday
- Information booth attendants
- Carnival rides ticket vendors
Sunday morning
Sunday night
- Removal of signage
- Exhibitor relocation management
- Pedestrian monitoring
Volunteers can sign up to help on a registration site. Free parking is available and volunteers should report to Information Booth #2 on the southeast corner of the Town Hall building.
To celebrate! West Hartford offers an arts and crafts fair, non-profit exhibit, carnival rides, games, food court, live music and more. A certified 5K and a Kids 1/2 Mile Dash will take place on Sunday morning.
