Volunteers needed for the student budget simulation program

GLEN DANIEL, WV (LOOTPRESS) — The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the WV State Treasurer’s Office and Raleigh County Schools for its Get a Life Student Financial Program, and is looking for volunteers.

“Help us teach local students about personal financial responsibility through a fun budget simulation program – ‘Get A Life’

Our BRCCC Education Committee is set to partner with the WV State Treasurer’s Office and Raleigh County Schools for the Get A Life Student Financial Program this fall.

The BRCCC education committee is looking for volunteers for jobs: banking, medicine, auto sales, department stores, insurance, etc. This event is an exciting favorite with Raleigh County students and teachers.

Thursday October 13
Trap Hill Middle School
Please arrive at school before 7:30 a.m.
First session starts at 7:45 a.m.
The second session will start after the first session with a summary around 11h

Golden Corral is our sponsor for this event and will provide refreshments for volunteers during the break
