Volunteers of America Michigan adds 3 Oakland County residents to development team – The Oakland Press


Denise A. Figurski, Melissa Hardy and Jamie Panzer have joined the Volunteers of America Michigan development team, according to a press release from the nonprofit organization.

Denise Figurski of Royal Oak has been named Major Gifts Manager, responsible for securing major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. She has 27 years of experience as a nonprofit development manager and previously served as senior fundraising and marketing administrator with the Neighborhood Service Organization.

Melissa Hardy

Melissa Hardy of Rochester Hills has been appointed donor relations coordinator to support initiatives to advance the nonprofit’s visibility and community engagement. Hardy has 12 years of nonprofit work experience. She previously served with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Michigan as a fund development coordinator. Hardy holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Jamie Panzer

Madison Heights’ Jamie Panzer is joining the nonprofit as a development assistant to help the development team with fundraising activities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University.
